With more than 14 years of transaction experience in private equity and investment banking, Mr. Pence is responsible for all key aspects of the investment transaction process. His responsibilities include investment origination, transaction structuring and negotiating, and portfolio company oversight.

Mr. Pence currently serves on the board of directors of Global Capacity. He has previously served on the boards of directors for Direct Brands (owner of the Columbia House, Book-of-the-Month, and BMG Music club businesses), Innovative Brands, Trend Homes, NxTV and Network Solutions.

Prior to joining Pivotal Private Equity in 2009, Mr. Pence was a partner at Najafi Companies, a Phoenix-based private equity firm. His previous experience also includes positions with Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch, primarily focusing on mergers and acquisition transactions. Additionally, for The Boston Consulting Group, he concentrated on consumer products, logistics and distribution, and energy sectors, among others.

Mr. Pence is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and a master's degree in business administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
